Call for Applications, December 2014

We are aware of the time, energy and effort it requires for organizations to complete our application forms. We also know how precious the time and energy of staff and volunteers are to charities and grassroots organizations. We are doing our best to make sure you do not need to spend time filling out an extensive application form, unless we believe your organization really fits the criteria to qualify for a grant from the Westbury Group and stands a realistic chance of successfully applying for a grant.

In the application round, we are dividing the application process into two stages. In the first stage, we would like to ask you to submit a brief Letter of Intent which describes your organization and its work (please find further instructions below). At the second stage, only those organizations that are shortlisted based on their Letters of Intent will be invited to complete a full application. Letters of Intent must be sent by email to by January 16th, 2015.

Through our Westbury Recognition and Innovation Grants, we are looking to strengthen Jewish grassroots and entrepreneurial charities and support the next generation of Jewish activists, professionals and lay leaders in Europe. The Westbury Group awards grants to recognize excellence among Jewish grassroots organizations and to enhance their sustainability. We are therefore interested in your overall activities rather than specific projects.

We strongly advise that you carefully read the Guidelines For Applicants to ensure your organization is eligible to apply for a grant, before you begin to work on your Letter of Intent. Please ensure that your letter is not longer than 3 A4 pages and includes the following information:
